Supervised by: Kerry Williamson, MA, LPC-S, LMFT-S, CST

Jay has over thirty years of ministry experience and holds an MDiv from Southwestern Seminary, a DMin in Pastoral Studies from Trinity Theological Seminary, and an MA in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. He has served on church staffs as Director of Pastoral Care, Pastor of Counseling, and Pastor of Spiritual Development for the past nine years. Prior to that, he worked as a chaplain for four years, providing spiritual care and support to patients and their families as they faced difficult decisions and end-of-life concerns due to a terminal diagnosis.

Jay’s natural warmth, professional experience and training, and passion for walking with people in the difficult places of life are foundational to his counseling practice. He enjoys working with individuals (18 and older) struggling with a variety of issues, including grief and loss, anger, depression / anxiety, spiritual struggles and concerns, relational intimacy, and sexual integrity. He also enjoys pre-marital and marriage counseling, and is certified in the Prepare-Enrich program. Jay offers evening and weekend hours to accommodate clients with schedule challenges.

Jay offers a sliding scale based on income for fee reduction for qualified clients.
