Kerry Williamson, MA, LPC-S, LMFT-S, CST

Director and Founder of Abundant Life Counseling Services, P.A.

Kerry is the founder and director of Abundant Life Counseling Services and is a specialist in issues related to sexuality. After seventeen years of counseling individuals, groups, families, and couples, he was trained at the Institute for Sexual Wholeness in Atlanta, Georgia by leading Christian experts in the field of sexual issues. He is a certified sex therapist, and has also received in-depth training regarding same-sex attraction and gender dysphoria at the Sexual Identity Institute in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Kerry’s natural warmth and high comfort level discussing sexual issues predispose him to being successful as a sex therapist, and one of his greatest joys has been seeing sexual healing and restoration in marriages. Likewise, his deep compassion and wisdom undergird his training and expertise, uniquely equipping him to journey with people who struggle with sexual addiction, same-sex attraction, and gender dysphoria.
Aside from his specialization in sexual issues, Kerry has over 24 years of counseling experience, as well as five years of experience at Intimate Life Ministries, where, in addition to counseling, he had the opportunity to lead four-day marriage intensives, do business consulting, teach at conferences and workshops, and co-host a radio show. Kerry left Intimate Life Ministries and started Abundant Life Counseling Services, P.A., in 2003. He has been a leader in Christian Counselors of Texas, and has served as both local and state president. He presents regularly to both professional and lay counselors, leads workshops and retreats, and teaches a marriage class at his church.
In addition to his certification as a sex therapist, Kerry is a licensed professional counselor – supervisor, a licensed marriage and family therapist – supervisor, and holds two master's degrees. Kerry and his wife, Rachel, have been married for 28 years, and have four college-aged and young adult children.
