Michelle has been with ALCS for almost three years and has a heart for working with children, adolescents, couples, families, and individual adult women. She enjoys working with children and uses non-directive play, art, cognitive behavioral, sand tray, and family therapy as well as foundational biblical truth to help them work through and overcome difficult life events. Michelle counsels from an attachment and interpersonal/relational perspective in her work with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, body image, grief and loss, divorce, conflict resolution, major life transitions, identity, and self-worth. She has a special interest in working with women and couples who have experienced perinatal trauma or other challenges related to the transition to parenthood.

Michelle earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Baylor University, and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree from Denver Seminary in Littleton, CO. She is certified in the Prepare-Enrich program, a framework she uses in helping couples prepare for, strengthen, and overcome obstacles in marriage. This program also provides excellent resources for equipping, strengthening, and improving parenting skills. She is married and enjoys trying to keep up with their very active toddler.

Michelle offers a sliding scale based on income for fee reduction for qualified clients.
