Kerry has been counseling since 1994, and founded Abundant Life Counseling Services, P.A. in 2003. Kerry specializes in sex therapy, but also offers counseling for strengthening marriages, affair recovery, sexual addiction, same-sex attraction and gender dysphoria.

Kerry is a certified sex therapist who was trained in Christian sex therapy at the Institute for Sexual Wholeness in Atlanta, Georgia. He has also received in-depth training regarding same-sex attraction and gender dysphoria at the Sexual and Gender Identity Institute now housed at Wheaton College in Illinois. Kerry’s natural warmth and high comfort level discussing sexual issues predispose him to be successful as a sex therapist, and one of his greatest joys has been seeing sexual healing and restoration in marriages. Likewise, his deep compassion and wisdom, together with his training and expertise, uniquely equip him to journey with people through sexual addiction, same-sex attraction, and gender dysphoria. With his contemplative, insightful style, Kerry enjoys walking alongside clients who are interested in personal growth and able to benefit from self-reflection.

Kerry has been a leader in Christian Counselors of Texas, serving as both local and state president, and speaks at conferences, workshops, and marriage classes. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Supervisor, and holds two master’s degrees.

In addition to his work with clients, Kerry enjoys mentoring Associate therapists at ALCS and building a counseling center that is both clinically excellent and foundationally Christian. Kerry and his wife, Rachel, have been married since 1990, and have four adult children.
