Rachelle Honohan, MSW, LCSW-S

Rachelle works exclusively with children and adolescents (and their families) across a wide range of issues including ADHD, anxiety, autism, oppositional-defiant disorder, depression, and trauma. Rachelle’s twenty plus years of experience as a mental health professional include conducting support groups and providing emotional support in Neonatal ICU, conducting assessments and arranging emergency services in ERs, providing individual, family, and group therapy for children and teenagers within an inpatient residential treatment facility, and operating a private practice (since 2012).
As a mother of four boys ranging from preteen to young adult, Rachelle has an up-close appreciation of each developmental stage; her combined professional and life experience uniquely equip her to come alongside parents and offer hope and courage, while her sincere passion for and enjoyment of children and adolescents help her create a safe, nurturing environment where they feel understood. Rachelle approaches counseling with a team approach, believing each person is an important part of the team, and that each person’s thoughts, feelings, and opinions matter. She helps her clients discover their own unique strengths, understand their feelings, and learn how to develop coping skills, set goals, and overcome obstacles, as she helps their families understand behaviors, improve communication, and establish boundaries within relationships.
An ALCS team member since 2017, Rachelle has a Masters in Social Work from University of Texas at Arlington, and is trained in EMDR, Theraplay, and Trust Based Relational Intervention. She also supervises upcoming LCSWs. She has been married for over twenty years, and loves to be involved in the lives of her four boys.
