Lizzie Oekerman, MA, LPC-Associate
Supervised by: Kerry Williamson, MA, LPC-S, LMFT-S, CST

Lizzie works with older children (age 10 and up), teens, adults, and couples as they navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, addiction, and life transitions. With a Bachelor of Science in Counseling focused on addiction, chemical dependency, and substance abuse, Lizzie brings a strong foundation for supporting clients in recovery and helping them address the underlying pain and patterns that fuel addictive cycles. She is especially passionate about supporting clients through identity development, relational struggles, and seasons of change.
Lizzie approaches therapy from an attachment-based and trauma-informed perspective, believing that healing happens in the context of a safe, authentic connection. She creates a collaborative and compassionate space where clients feel seen, valued, and empowered to explore how past experiences shape present emotions and relationships.
She also has a special interest in bringing creativity into counseling—using art, music, writing, or movement as tools for reflection and healing with clients of all ages. Whether she’s helping a teen manage anxiety, guiding a couple through communication struggles, or walking with someone through grief or addiction recovery, Lizzie's goal is to help clients uncover their strengths, build resilience, and develop healthier, more hopeful narratives that support lasting growth and change.
Lizzie holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and is a certified SYMBIS (Save Your Marriage Before It Starts) facilitator, equipping couples to build a strong foundation for marriage through insight and practical tools. Outside of counseling, Lizzie enjoys cooking, baking, reading, and fostering dogs with her husband.
